Sensorium Technological Laboratories

In 2022 I founded Sensorium TL, a spin-off of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Sensorium received a 1M$ pre-seed investment from the VC Quantonation to develop and commercialise innovative technologies for gas detection.

Metis

Since 2021 I have advised and I sit in the Board of Directors of Metis, a legal tech start-up created in Milan. Metis develops natural language processing (NLP) tools to allow lawyers and other professionals to perform semantic searches on large databases of private documents.

In 2021 I started my first business adventure outside the deep-tech world opening Scalo Merci, a venue serving gourmet food and drinks prepared with Italian biological products.

Since 2019 I have been a business angel for Adakazam, a Paris-based company developing AI-optimised advertising technology that helps brands to accelerate their business on Amazon and other online retail platforms. In 2020 Adakazam merged with m19, expanding its business internationally. In 2022 m19 was acquired by the Berlin Brands Group Holding.

In 2017 I created Quantika.co, a consulting hub operating all along the chain value in domains linked with nanophotonics and quantum technologies.

In 2010 I founded AdQuantic, a startup that develops software and services to optimize online marketing campaigns. Our scientific approach, exploiting patented numerical methods from quantum and statistical physics, allowed us to quickly become the best performing actor in the online marketing optimization market. In 2014 NASDAQ company Criteo acquired the 100% of AdQuantic.

Hypios

Hypios

In 2008 I founded Hypios, a startup offering crowdsourced problem-solving services. Until 2010 I served as Hypios Chief Scientifc Officer, creating from scratch a dynamic research environment in Semantic Web Sciences. Hypios research efforts gave rise to patented technologies and publications in prestigious journals and conferences. Until 2014 I worked as a free-lance consultant on Crédit d’Impôt Recherche, a tool of the French government to improve the competitiveness of technological companies based in France, or dealing with French public and private institutions.
