I am a scientist and an entrepreneur. I am Professor of Quantum Nanophotonics at the University of Southampton. There I lead the Quantum Theory and Technology group, investigating solid-state cavity quantum electrodynamics for both fundamental and technological applications. I am also senior researcher at CNR, adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University, and serve as CTO for the nanotechnology company Sensorium.
